Vintnerize Pty Ltd is the dynamic company behind the Pirathon, Gaelic Cemetery and Lindsay Wine Estate brands. We are on a mission to build our business to provide a wide selection of wines from the Barossa and Clare regions which everyone can enjoy.
In addition to producing first class wines Vintnerize owns a cellar door at 15 Vine Vale Road Tanunda as well as accommodation at Lanzerac Country Estate and at our Flatview Vineyard at Stanley Flat.
Vintnerize has produced award winning South Australian wine for over a decade and we recently finished building a state of the art 480 tonne winery at Vine Vale with further expansion planned.
Vintnerize owns and operates multiple vineyards across the Barossa and Clare with vineyards at Marananga, Vine Vale, Tanunda in the Barossa and our Gaelic Cemetery and Flatview vineyards at Stanley Flat.
We are seeking two Vineyard Supervisors/Managers to manage our Barossa and Clare vineyards, one based in each location.This is an exciting hands-on role with the opportunity to produce high-quality fruit from both Barossa vineyards (45ha) and Clare vineyards (55ha) along with new developments at all sites. New equipment has been purchased and more equipment will be purchased to finalise all operational requirements.
Job Requirements Job Requirements::
- At least 5 years experience as a vineyard Supervisor/Manager;
- Passionate about the wine industry and have demonstrated experience managing Barossa and Clare vineyards;
- Experience in all machinery operations including maintenance;
- Have a degree in Viticulture;
- Are dynamic with enthusiasm and capable of handling the physical requirements of managing a vineyard;
- Pest, weed and disease management;
- Irrigation & trellis - monitoring and repairs;
- Efficient water use management;
- Reporting to the Operations Manager the status of all vineyard and operations, including any projected Capex;
- Be an Australian/NZ citizen or have permission to work in Australia long term;
- Have car, forklift and truck licences;
- Current ChemCert certificate;
- Responsible for WHS compliance and assuring that all work activities are carried out in accordance with company procedures and policies.
The successful candidates will be self-motivated and possess excellent planning, logistical and technical skills. Organising and overseeing contractors and reviewing all invoices carefully will be required.
