Visitor Information Assistant Tumbarumba
An exciting opportunity exists to join our Visitor Information Centre Tumbarumba as a Permanent Part Time employee working 14 hours per week working the spread of hours Monday to Sunday. Primary Purpose
Deliver the council's Visitor Information services, which promotes the region/LGA as an ideal place to visit.
Key components of this position will include:
- Provide information, stories, maps and brochures to maximise visitor experience in the region.
- Maintain the general appearance of visitor facilities to maximise visitor experience in the region.
- Assist with visitor programs and activities to maximise visitor experience in the region.
- Contribute to the image of the council as welcoming to visitors.
- Promote information sharing and knowledge transfer to drive evidence-based decision-making, enhance capability and optimise capacity.
Do you have the following skills and experience?
Essential Criteria
- Contemporary experience working in a tourism, sales or customer service role.
- Demonstrated ability to provide a high standard of customer service to internal and external customers.
- Demonstrated experience in administration and effectively completing correspondence.
- Demonstrated ability to plan and organise priorities and monitor workflow.
- Class C drivers' licence.
- Ability to work weekends and public holidays if required.
Desirable Criteria
Contemporary knowledge of the local area, including attractions and services.
SALARY
Salary will be paid in accordance with the Snowy Valleys Council Salary System at Grade 2 which ranges from $28.82 per hour (gross) to $32.44 per hour (gross) dependant on skills, qualifications and experience plus 11% superannuation and allowances.
Permanent Part Time working 14 hours per week and if needed up to 35 hours per week working Monday to Sunday.
