Salary Range: $119,646 - $120,678 (PN: 65139, Several)
CIT Teacher Capability have two senior Teacher Level 2 (TL2) roles available.
As a Vocational Education Leader, you have the power to directly impact the future of CIT's educator workforce and help prepare CIT for the new Woden Cloud Campus! This dynamic, strategic and client-focussed team values your ability to be flexible and collaborative.
In these roles, every day is different. You will find yourself working across the Institute with every CIT teaching department, while you develop a strategic focus on the upskilling of CIT educators. The right candidate will be creative, digitally confident, and keen to learn and embed contemporary teaching approaches into their practice.
We know it is quite a transition to leap from your area of industry expertise in Vocational Education and Training. To help with this transition:
- Part-time working arrangements can be considered
- Mentoring and onboarding is available to support you
- You are entitled to teaching conditions which include Paid Non- Attendance
Key responsibilities for the positions include:
- Designing, delivering, and assessing Training and Education TAE qualifications using learner-centred and evidence-based approaches.
- Delivering professional learning to the CIT community
- Providing vocational leadership in a range of ways including mentoring and coaching

Eligibility/Other Requirements:
- Applicants must hold a full Training and Assessment Certificate IV qualification (such as TAE40116 or equivalent) and a Diploma of Vocational Education and Training (or equivalent).
Notes: This is a temporary position available from 27 May 2024 for 2 Years. Please note the start date is negotiable. An order of merit will be established from this selection process and may be used to fill future identical vacancies over the next 12 months. Temporary employment offered as a result of this advertisement may lead to permanency/promotion as per the Public Sector Management Standards, Section 14 – Direct appointment of employee – general, and Section 20 – Direct promotion - general and CIT Enterprise Agreements.
