Volleyball Australia is a dynamic and growing peak sporting body with around 70,000 participants across multiple volleyball disciplines. In 2023, the sport adopted its evolutionary plan to create nationally driven products that provide the sports delivery network with the tools, content, and brand to attract new and retain current participants in the sport.
As the Product Manager of all volleyball participation initiatives, you will work with key stakeholders across the business to streamline product delivery and understand where opportunities exist to expand and grow in collaboration with the network to create safe and enjoyable experiences.

Job Responsibilities
• Develop and implement product strategies consistent with the sports vision.
• Define and manage the product strategy and roadmap, considering alignment with the Volleyball Network and overarching business strategy.
• Stay attuned to emerging use cases and incorporate them into the product vision.
• Continuously assess how to maximise business value from the products.
• Collaborate with national cross-functional teams to analyse business processes and functional requirements.
• Conduct User Experience workshops and focus on maximising customer outcomes.
• Represent the product during design, development, testing, release, updates, and ongoing lifecycle management.
• Evaluate market trends and review competitions, ensuring the sport remains competitive in our target market.
• Monitor and manage product usage regularly and provide insightful reports on the product's impact to the Executive at the State and National levels.
Qualifications and Experience
Relevant Tertiary qualifications and /or demonstrated experience in Sports management and administration.
Knowledge and Skills
• Extensive sports product management experience
• Track record of managing successful products throughout their lifecycles.
• Strong technical background with an understanding of participation development.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, providing clear guidance and trusted advice, with the ability to set strategic direction and lead national cross-functional teams.
• Experience in roadmap development and product analytics.
• Strong strategic thinking and the ability to translate industry trends into business opportunities.
• Impeccable attention to detail and commitment to understanding customers’ requirements.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Applicants must have experience in working with children.
• Applicants must be able to demonstrate an understanding of appropriate behaviours when engaging with Children.
