This role provides a range of high quality confidential administrative and clerical support services to enable the SESLHD Voluntary Assisted Dying Liaison Service (VAD-LS) to achieve its objectives in a timely, reliable, and efficient manner.
Working closely with the other members of the VAD-LS you will:
- Ensure quality, safe, and compassionate care for all those involved with VAD in accordance with the NSW Voluntary Assisted Dying Act 2022, NSW Health Policy Directive and SESLHD VAD-LS model of care.
- Provide a single point of contact for VAD related inquiries
- Providing operational support to the VAD-LS to ensure coordinated workflow and outcomes.
Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australia has been identified for this position following suitable labour market testing.
All workers and new recruits are required to receive 2 doses of a Therapeutic Goods Administration approved or recognised COVID-19 vaccine to commence employment/ engagement or continue to work within a NSW Health service.
A worker and new recruit will be considered compliant if they have a medical contraindication to all available Therapeutic Goods Administration approved or recognised COVID-19 vaccines and provide medical contraindication evidence in line with the policy requirements.
In addition, all Category A workers and new recruits are required to receive one dose of the seasonal influenza vaccine annually to be considered compliant.
Category A workers and new recruits who are non-compliant with seasonal influenza vaccination or have a medical contraindication to influenza or COVID-19 vaccinations must comply with all other infection control risk reduction strategies as directed while working in a Category A position.

- Demonstrated experience in providing high level administrative support in a demanding and sensitive environment.
- Demonstrated ability to write reports, documents and correspondence while being able to analyse and compile data for presentations and reports.
- Demonstrated high level interpersonal and verbal communication skills and the ability to respond and work with a range of stakeholders.
- Demonstrated high level organisational skills including the ability to prioritise and monitor workflow.
- Demonstrated proficiency in the use of a range of computer software packages including Microsoft Office applications, MS Teams and patient information systems iPM and eMR.
- Demonstrated experience working in complex work environments, involving issues that may be distressing or sensitive for patients and staff.
- Demonstrated experience communicating with key stakeholders (internal and external) at the appropriate level to ensure understanding while providing practical and relevant advice appropriate to role.
- Willingness to travel between SESLHD sites and services as required.
