We are looking for a special kind of person – a St Vincent’s kind of person. Someone who puts compassion, connection and caring for other people at the heart of everything they do.

We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate Volunteer Partnerto join our dynamic Talent team at St Vincent’s Care. This is a full-time, Maximum Term contract until approx. June 2025 with flexible, hybrid working arrangements in place to promote work/life balance (work at home, in office &/or at our aged care homes). The successful applicant may be based in Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne.

This role will report directly to the Volunteer Lead and will be responsible for recruiting, screening, matching and supporting volunteers in the St Vincent’s Care Volunteer program. You will be part of a small team supporting a 400 + volunteer-strong program within St Vincent’s Care Services. We receive funding from the Australian Government to run the Aged Care Volunteer Visitor’s Scheme (ACVVS) in the community. You will be supporting both ACVVS and St Vincent’s Care volunteering.

Things that work for us:

  • Experience working in the volunteer space

  • Experience recruiting paid or unpaid staff – including creating advertisements and screening & interviewing candidates

  • Knowledge and compliance with the National Standards for Volunteer Involvement

  • Knowledge or with the Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme (or aged care generally) will be highly regarded

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to network easily with internal and external stakeholders

  • A strong attention to detail, excellent computer skills and the ability to work autonomously while supporting the goals of a small team

  • A passion for volunteering and a commitment to the Mission, Vision and Values of St Vincent’s Care

  • Up to date police check and vaccinations (COVID-19 and Influenza)
