Volunteer In Person
Connect with our residents face-to-face. Volunteering even a small amount of time makes life that much brighter for both you and the people you’ll get to know. There are several ways you can volunteer, listed below, but if you’d like to offer your expertise, we would love that too, just let us know.
Which could be as simple as coming in for a regular chat and a cuppa with one of our residents. * Activity BuddyWhich could include taking part in our home activities such as walking groups, board games, knitting groups, reading, reminiscence chats, gardening, baking, playing a musical instrument, driving the bus for social outings, or bringing in your pet for a regular visit. * Spiritual Support BuddyProviding emotional and spiritual support to our residents and their families.Essenial Requirements ;
- Police Clearance
- COVID & Flu Vaccinations
- Knowledge of dementia or willing to be trained
- Work well with the Management / staff and residents of all varied backgrounds etc
We are urgently seeking some volunteers for our Albany home ;
- Bus Driver (any day Monday to Friday 0900-12.00pm)
- Men shed coordinator one day a week possibly 10am to 2 pm or flexible
