About the role

Reporting to the CEO, this is an exciting opportunity supporting our highly motivated volunteers to provide a fun, inclusive and engaging girl-led program whilst ensuring adherence to our frameworks, procedures, legislation and strategy. Working closely with the Senior Leadership Team, you will support the delivery of a high quality, compliant Guiding program, fostering a culture of continuous improvement among volunteers contributing to their overall satisfaction. You will support volunteers by providing guidance and support so that volunteers understand their responsibilities for safe and compliant operations of their Unit as well as ensuring they feel engaged and supported. Through this support, contribute to membership growth and overall satisfaction for both Guides and volunteers. This includes contributing to their training and development to provide growth and opportunity, and ensures competency, confidence and alignment with the program mission. 

The role builds strong rapport with volunteers, staff and key stakeholders within the Guiding community, including the GGWA State Commissioner, professional associations, the public, and government departments through strong administration, regular effective communication, and data management, reporting and analysis to identify strategic trends and opportunities. This is a really varied role where you can have a genuine impact on the leaders of tomorrow.

About you

With your familiarity with Girl Guides, Scouts, or youth-work programs, you will be able to hit the ground running and provide exceptional operational support to our volunteers and the GGWA community using your interpersonal and communication skills to support us through a period of change. We are looking for someone who has experience working in a teaching or community setting who has supported volunteers, and can understand the intricacies of their engagement and work effectively and resiliently to drive outcomes. You must have strong IT and administrative capability with an eye for detail who can multi-task using a proactive attitude, and in support of our vision of empowering young girls and women to discover their potential as future leaders.

Flexible working hours may be required in order to attend meetings or events that may sit outside of normal working hours.
