War Memorial Hospital (WMH) is a 3rd Schedule Aged Rehabilitation hospital, situated in Waverley, owned and operated by Uniting and part of the South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD). Services are comprised of 24 hour inpatient care, Monday to Friday outpatient departments, several specialist community teams inclusive of Transitional Aged Care, Aged Care Assessment Team, Geriatric Flying Squad, Young Onset Dementia, 7 day a week day centre, 24 hour accommodation service for regional guests and the full range of hospital support services. The Sydney Medically Supervised Injecting Centre (MSIC) was the first medically supervised injecting centre operating within Australia. It is funded by NSW Health and operates with the support of police and the local community. Located in Sydney's Kings Cross the service offers a practical and pragmatic response to drug injecting by minimising the harm associated with it until a person is ready and able to address their issues.
We are inviting applications from suitably qualified finance professionals to join our dynamic team. The Business & Performance Manager is responsible for all aspects of the financial resources for WMH and the MSIC, ensuring that the services make the most effective and efficient use of funding with a high level of business performance. In addition, the position is responsible for ensuring that all financial reporting obligations, including Activity Based Management Reporting, Public Health Accounts and Auditing, budgeting and internal financial and management reporting requirements, are accurate and timely.

Selection Criteria: * Demonstrated extensive & successful financial and business management at a senior organisational level
- Extensive experience in management of a complex budget with quantitative improvements in business performance
- Knowledge and experience in health related funding models
- Knowledge and understanding of Activity Based Management, using case weighted / activity management to improve business performance
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team using sound time management, organisational and problem solving skills
- Proven high level interpersonal communication skills, including verbal, written and electronic
- Advanced computer skills inclusive of the MS Office suite, report compilations and presentations
- Tertiary Qualification in Business and Accounting. Membership of Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA) Australia or equivalent.
