About you

Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager and Administration Manager, the Administration Officer/Ward Clerk has the responsibility to ensure the effective and efficient running of the clinical unit in regards to administrative tasks.  In addition provide support to the nursing staff for a range of non-nursing duties, whilst under the direction and support of the Nurse Unit Manager or Registered Nurse at all times.  This role is part time on a job share basis.

Essential criteria          

• Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination status, in line with Public Health Order for all health care workers to be fully vaccinated by 30th November 2021 
• Previous and demonstrated administration experience in a hospital Ward Clerk role
• Ability to remain calm and professional in a high activity, fast paced environment 
• Experience with Microsoft Office and Hospital mainframe eg. WebPAS
• Advanced communication and organisational skills
• Demonstrated customer service skills

Desirable criteria

• Certificate in Medical Terminology
