Key Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors, providing assistance and direction as needed.
- Answer phone calls and inquiries promptly, directing them to the appropriate staff members.
- Maintain patient records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Schedule appointments and procedures for patients.
- Coordinate admissions, discharges, and transfers of patients.
- Assist nursing staff with clerical tasks, such as filing, photocopying, and faxing.
- Order and maintain office supplies for the ward.
- Assist in the coordination of meetings, conferences, and events as required.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth patient care transitions.
- Proven experience in a clerical or administrative role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including MS Office.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and electronic health records is an asset.
- Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in healthcare administration is a plus.
