Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, this position will be responsible for leading and working with a team of 4 staff in a 'hands on' capacity in their Hire department.
Your responsibilities include although are not limited to:
- Ensure efficient day to day operations of the Hire Department
- Provide leadership to operational team members
- Willing to be hands on - picking and packing when required
- Inventory control - ensuring high levels of stock accuracy and stock control
- Warehouse administration & Customer service
- Liaising with customers, internal staff and shipping or courier companies
- Ensure all OH&S guidelines are followed to ensure a safe working environment
- Provide ongoing training and support to staff to ensure team meets quality standards, targets and customer expectations
To be considered for this position, you will have:
- Previous experience in a similar warehouse role essential
- Warehouse administration or general administration experience
- Solid leadership capability in a "hands on" role, with the ability to lead, mentor and manage team members to achieve targets
- Computer literacy skills - experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) required - MS Dynamics experience highly regarded
- Experience with picking and packing, cycle counting and stocktaking
- Effective communication skills - both written and verbal
