About the role
This is a 1-year fixed term role for the right candidate.
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Warehouse Site Manager to oversee our facility operations in Somerton. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing daily warehouse activities, ensuring efficient workflow, and maintaining a safe working environment. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a proven track record in warehouse management within the FMCG industry.
What you will be doing
- Oversee daily operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storage, and distribution of goods.
- Implement and enforce company policies and procedures to ensure operational efficiency and compliance with safety regulations.
- Optimise warehouse layout and space utilization to maximize efficiency and productivity.
- Manage inventory control processes, including cycle counts, stock takes, and reconciliation.
- Coordinate with logistics, procurement, and production teams to ensure timely fulfillment of orders.
- Train, mentor, and supervise warehouse staff, fostering a positive team environment.
- Monitor performance metrics and KPIs to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records of warehouse activities.
- Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety standards and regulations.
- Manage relationships with suppliers, contractors, and third-party service providers.
What will make you successful
- Proven experience (5+ years) in warehouse management, preferably within the FMCG industry.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
- Sound knowledge of inventory management and logistics software (e.g., SAP, WMS).
- Understanding of workplace health and safety regulations.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to problem-solve and make data-driven decisions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
- Forklift license and other relevant certifications (preferred).
