Warehouse Manager

Outline of Job Role

ABCO Products is seeking a highly organized and experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee all aspects of our warehouse operations in Bentley, WA. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing inventory, ensuring efficient and accurate order fulfillment, and maintaining a safe and organized warehouse environment. The Warehouse Manager will play a key role in optimizing processes, improving productivity, and ensuring customer satisfaction

Responsibilities

Inventory Management:

• Implement and maintain effective inventory control procedures.

• Conduct regular cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies.

• Monitor inventory levels and reorder supplies as needed.

• Collaborate with procurement to optimize stock levels.

Order Fulfillment:

• Oversee the picking, packing, and shipping of customer orders.

• Ensure orders are processed accurately and on time.

• Coordinate with the logistics team to optimize shipping and delivery processes.

• Address any issues or delays in order fulfillment.

Warehouse Organization:

• Plan and organize warehouse layout for maximum efficiency.

• Implement and enforce safety procedures to create a secure working environment.

• Optimize space utilization to accommodate current and future inventory needs.

• Manage and maintain equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.

Team Management:

• Supervise and train warehouse staff.

• Monitor performance and provide feedback to improve efficiency.

• Schedule and coordinate team members to ensure adequate coverage.

• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.

• Manage key aspects of human resources, recruiting, and performance reviews.

Quality Control:

• Implement quality control measures to ensure accuracy and integrity of products.

• Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or customer complaints related to warehouse operations.

• Collaborate with other departments to address quality issues and implement improvements.

Process Improvement:

• Continuously evaluate and improve warehouse processes.

• Implement best practices to increase efficiency and reduce costs.

• Stay informed about industry trends and advancements in warehouse management.

Communication:

• Communicate effectively with other departments, including sales, customer service, and procurement.

• Provide regular reports and updates to management on warehouse performance.

• Address and resolve any issues or concerns raised by team members.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Warehouse Manager or in a similar role.

• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management.

• Excellent leadership and communication skills.

• Ability to analyze data and implement process improvements.

• Familiarity with warehouse management software.

• Forklift certification (preferred).
