With continued strong business growth, we have an ideal opportunity for outstanding Warehouse Controller / Purchasing officer looking for long term stable employment in a head office based in Toowoomba QLD.
This is a hands-on role which requires a skilled individual that is multi-skilled and will work closing with the Purchasing Manager. This role requires an experienced forklift driver that has the confidence to offload steel trucks.
Tasks and responsibilities:
- Raise purchase orders and order stock as required
- Unloading of deliveries and operate a forklift to a high skill level
- Count delivered stock and check off against delivery dockets
- Manage and control stock levels
- Conduct regular stocktakes and adjust discrepancies where needed
- Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse, including a safe working environment that optimises space utilisation
- Replenishing stock and maintaining inventory levels
- Warehousing duties as required
- Liaising with external suppliers as required
Requirements:
- Must have a current C Class Drivers Licence and Forklift Licence
- Familiarity with warehousing practices and procedures
- Understanding of purchasing processes and vendor set up
- Flexible and adaptable to the fast-changing nature of the business
- Excellent communication skills and ability to maintain good relationships with suppliers
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Demonstrated attention to detail, accuracy and care for stock
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Is physically fit and able to lift up to 20kgs
- Must have a current forklift license
