About the Role
PB Agrifood is seeking an experienced QA/ WHS Officer to join the Toowoomba based team on a permanent part-time basis. This role is responsible for facilitating compliance with WHS legislation and HACCP requirements in order to maintain accreditation with HACCP/ISO22000.
Reporting to and working closely with the QA/ WHS Manager, your key accountabilities in this role would include record and data management and entry; maintaining effective document control and file management systems; completing QA testing; collecting and recording quality data; conducting internal quality and WHS audits to measure and monitor compliance; ensuring internal audit follow-ups to non-conformance and assisting with action plans; and developing and overseeing the implementation of appropriate procedures and forms.
About You
The QA/ WHS Officer role requires the following skills and experience:
- Quality assurance background in a food manufacturing environment (desired but not essential);
- Qualifications in HACCP, WHS or Quality Auditing (advantageous);
- A strong sense of accountability and responsibility;
- Commitment to company values and food safety culture;
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal);
- Strong attention to detail, initiative and time management skills;
- Ability to work as part of a team, but also autonomously as required;
- Proven ability to abide by safe work practices;
- Proven ability to follow set work procedures;
- Current First Aid Certificate (or willing to obtain); and
- Forklift Licence (advantageous).
