Introduction:
Join Metso on an 5/2:4/3 roster at Karratha’s newest and best equipped repair facility. We are seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to join our Service team in the newly built Metso Karratha Service Centre.
This position is a residential role in Karratha.
What you’ll do:
- Inventory control including all necessary paperwork being processed in response to goods inwards and outwards.
- Ensure that proper quantities of parts as specified are received, correspond with packing slips and purchase orders, and are stored in correct locations.
- Timely unpacking, packing and movement of goods in and out of the warehouse.
- Ensure that goods are properly identified, packed and loaded for shipment in accordance with customer requirements.
- Annual, periodic or cyclic stock counts.
- Prompt reporting of inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain procedures and direct staff to provide an efficient store to receive, store, issue and pack material.
- Process the paperwork necessary to identify, store and distribute the correct items.
- To ensure that proper quantities of parts as specified are received, correspond with Packing Slips and Purchase Orders, and are stored in correct locations.
- Ensure that the annual Physical Inventory Cycle Count is taken in such a manner so to ensure sound and reliable counts and complies with documented procedures.
- Ensure that an efficient computerised inventory control system is operating to ensure all material is available when required whilst keeping inventory levels in line with Budget.
- Inventory control including all necessary paperwork being processed in response to goods inwards and outwards.
- Ensures that all delegated works from the Manager are being completed efficiently and reliably.
- Reports regularly to the customers, suppliers and Manager, when/if challenges arise, with possible solutions or requests for assistance.
- Provides advice and direction on the operation of equipment, tools, machinery and/or plant, in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions and training.
- Recommends or provides solutions in collaboration with team members.
- Overseeing the works being undertaken by the team
Who you are:
Essential
- Minimum 2 years’ team management and leadership experience in Warehousing, Supply Chain or related fields.
- Strong working knowledge, understanding of and experience in warehousing and inventory management
- Strong working knowledge of ERP systems, with SAP experience.
- Forklift license
- Basic level of Outlook and Excel
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to communicate with and influence internal and external stakeholders.
- Highly organised with the ability to coordinate competing demands and work towards tight deadlines.
- Highly motivated, action orientated, and results focused.
- Strong customer service focus.
- Enjoys working in a cross-functional and multi-cultural environment
- Experience working in mining or heavy industrial industries.
