Description
The Warehouse Supervisor will manage all facets of branch warehouse operations, including receiving, picking, packing, and maintenance. They will ensure adherence to operational, audit, safety, and company policies, with a strong emphasis on meeting customer requirements.
- Lead and supervise warehouse staff to ensure efficient handling of product equipment.
- Direct efforts to achieve performance goals related to productivity, quality, service, and safety.
- Monitor workflow, error rates, and relevant metrics, implementing corrective measures as needed.
- Enforce adherence to established procedures and safety regulations.
- Facilitate training for warehouse employees to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Maintain accurate records of time, attendance, and performance management.
- Foster positive employee relations and morale within the warehouse team.
- Set and monitor performance standards for various warehouse functions, including pick, pack, and ship operations.
Profile
Candidates for this position should meet the following criteria:
- At least 3 years of forklift operation experience required, LF essential, LO desired.
- 3 years of supervisory experience in a warehouse environment, ideally in distribution.
- In-depth knowledge of inventory control processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Effective time management skills.
- Basic proficiency in computer use.
- High attention to detail.
- Capability to learn and utilize business planning systems.
- Ability to comprehend and follow verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to stay calm and resolve issues promptly in stressful situations.
