THE OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking an experienced Supervisor/Driver (HR or HC) who has successfully lead a delivery operations involving both rigid and articulated vehicles. You must have a passion for safety, customer service and efficiency. Your desire to drive a continuous improvement culture, you look for efficiencies within the operation and contribute to the continued growth of the business.This role offers ongoing opportunities to further develop your skills, with career development pathways available.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Actively drive a safety and compliance culture by ensuring all incidents and hazards are reported immediately and the corrective actions are acted upon in a timely manner
- Delivery on our service promise by ensuring targets are met for delivery on time and pick up on time
- Lead driver and vehicle planning to improve efficiency
- Manage costs and budgets to improve business performance
- Be pivotal in customer relationship management ensuring customer are kept informed of any service issues
- Be action orientated to drive results
- Ensure all OHS and driver fatigue legislative requirements are adhered to
- Ensuring compliance with driver fatigue and chain of responsibility legislation
- Ensure all Non-conformances (NCR’s) / service failures are investigated, and corrective actions are acted upon and closed out in a timely manner
- Manage all incidents and hazards reported and ensure the corrective actions are acted upon and closed out in a timely manner
- Be pivotal in customer relationship management ensuring customer are kept informed of any service issues
To be considered you will need:
- Minimum 3 – 5year's demonstrated experience in a similar role
- Demonstrated understanding of the legislation and laws relating to the operation of heavy vehicles, transportation, fatigue management and vehicle weight restrictions
- Good analytical, reporting, planning skills for efficient route and load planning with high attention to detail and cost management
- Experience using both manual and system based process for PUD
- Exceptional organisational skills, with the ability to priorities and deal with multiple activities simultaneously
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
