Are you a self-motivated individual passionate about community engagement? We are seeking a Waste Enforcement Officer to spearhead our efforts in protecting Fairfield City's environment through enforcement and education initiatives.
As a Waste Enforcement Officer, you will play a pivotal role in implementing key programs aimed at tackling illegal dumping, littering, and promoting effective waste management practices in alignment with our City Plan for a Cleaner and Greener City. You'll be at the forefront of investigating, detecting, and deterring individuals from engaging in activities that harm our environment.
Essential Requirements:
- Certificate IV in Local Government Investigations.
- Demonstrated experience, knowledge, and understanding of investigation processes and procedures.
- Proficiency in different investigation strategies, including covert and overt operations and surveillance.
- Thorough understanding of enforcement powers outlined in relevant legislation.
DESIRABLE:
- Community development or engagement skills to change behaviour
- Experience in Local Government and relevant legislations
SALARY & EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS:
- Permanent position, 76 hours per fortnight
- This position is a Grade 4, salary range is $72,841 p.a. with progression to $80,399 p.a. on demonstrated competencies, with performance progression to $85,322 p.a.
