Water Engineer

The Role
As an experienced Engineer – Water/Water Engineer you will contribute to technical delivery of hydrologic studies and hydraulic analysis, associated with surface water management and flooding. You will be a part of a collaborative and supportive team and grow in your expertise!

Key Responsibilities
  

• Flood modelling, mapping and report writing for a range of water and civil engineering projects
• Hydraulic design of waterway infrastructure such as bridges, culverts, levees, diversion drains etc including scour protection measures
• Design coordination with wider project teams and other disciplines
• Assist with submissions for water related projects and input for multidisciplinary projects
• Liaison with clients and other project stakeholders
• Mentoring of junior engineers

  
Key Criteria

• Relevant tertiary qualification
• The successful candidate will also possess an advanced understanding of hydrologic and hydraulic modelling packages, such as RORB, XP-RAFTS, URBS, TUFLOW, HEC-RAS, and their advantages and limitations and will be capable of performing detailed design reviews
• Experience using 12d, DRAINS and MUSIC will also be highly considered
