The Role
We are seeking a W/BBL Events Program Officer to join the Consumer Business team. This dynamic role will help grow our Big Bash fan base by planning and delivering School Holiday and Academy programs for the Melbourne Stars and Melbourne Renegades.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Delivering operational requirements for Melbourne Stars and Renegades School Holiday Programs and Junior and Senior Academy Programs, including:
- End to end event execution
- Event and customer service enquiries
- Organising required staffing
- Liaising with relevant Regional Cricket Managers to reach clubs within regions
- Liaising with required talent
- Liaising with venues
- Collating data and manage sales process
- Working with relevant third parties including coaches and program operators - Assisting the Events Manager with the seasonal events calendar where required
- BBL Hospitality - Stars and Renegades Lounge, Season Launch, Stars Kids
- End of season events - including Premier Cricket Awards, Women's Community Cricket Awards, Community Cricket Awards
- International Hospitality - Boxing Day Test & ODI
About You
The successful candidate will have the ability to work collaboratively across various departments within Cricket Victoria and external stakeholders to deliver events. They will have the proven ability to remain organised and multitask while simultaneously maintaining a high level of attention to detail to ensure all event requirements are delivered. Further, the successful candidate will use their exceptional customer service skills to provide an unforgettable experience to attendees.
To be considered, you will meet the below criteria:
- Business/Commerce or Events/Hospitality/Management Degree
- Event coordination experience
- Prior experience with children's clinics or other school holiday programs
- Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM
- Superior communication skills - written, verbal and presentation skills
- Ability to effectively collaborate with others
- Current Victorian Employee Working with Children Check
- Current Victoria Driver's License
