Jellinbah Mine is an open cut coal mine located near the townships of Blackwater and Bluff in Central Queensland; Blackwater is a unique mining town known as the “Coal Capital” of Queensland. Blackwater is located just 2.5 hours from Yeppoon and Emu Park, the gateway to Great Keppel Island and the wonders of the Great Barrier Reef. That sea change might be an option.

The Role
The Mine Projects Coordinator role at Jellinbah Mining will be accountable for providing leadership and support for the mine through the coordination of our mine service-related contracts and various capital project activities.
Building relationships and engaging with internal and external stakeholders will be important to the successful delivery of projects in terms of safety, time and cost objectives.
You will have a good understanding of project planning, execution, and successful delivery of operational projects.
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide effective leadership in areas you are responsible for, especially in relation to safety behaviour and the Jellinbah values.
- Planning, coordinating, and reporting of all mine services activities including road works, water management, topsoil stripping, rehabilitation, and civil earthworks projects.
- To ensure that these projects / initiatives are delivered to agreed criteria, with commercially competitive standards for safety, cost, timeliness, quality, scope and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications and Experience required:
Ideally as our successful candidate you will have:
- Effective problem-solving skills including managing expectations of internal and external clients, in the delivery of works, while ensuring safety and project requirements are being met.
- Proven ability to build proactive relationships and to work as part of a high-performing team.
- Capable of consistently delivering quality outcomes with a high level of mine site knowledge in the following areas:
- Contract safety & compliance,
- Project management.
- Mine site rehabilitation and water management.
- Mine site related civil earthworks e.g. road network construction and maintenance.
- 5-10 years’ experience in Open Cut Coal Mining or equivalent.
- Civil Engineering experience preferred, but not required.
