About the OpportunityWe currently have an exciting opportunity for an Advanced Trainee/Fellow Child Protection to join us within Paediatric Forensic Medical Service (PFMS)/Child Protection.The Advanced Trainee/Fellow Child Protection contributes, in a medical training capacity, to the provision of clinical services and patient care in Paediatric Forensic Medical Service (PFMS) as directed by the Medical Consultants and Medical Unit Head, PFMS, within the objectives and philosophies of the Women's and Children's Health Network, as set down in its Vision, Mission & Values statements, with a commitment to clinical teaching and research portfolios.The Women's and Children's Hospital is recognised for excellence in medical training.Considerable support and supervision is given to trainee doctors, as well as generous employee benefits such as;

As per the SMOEA 2022, the total term of employment with SA Health will be 3 years. Rotations following the initial 12-months allocation as WCHN Advanced TraineeFellow Child Protection will be determined in line with your training and SA Health's requirements. This may include transfer to other SA Health locations to perform work appropriate to classification, skills and capabilities.About YouTo be successful in this role, you will have:
  • Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent.
  • Registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner.
  • Skills in problem solving and decision making with regard to patient management.
  • Problem solving and decision-making skills (both clinical and individual).
