We are seeking a Weighbridge Operator to join our team for our upcoming harvest. The role is an initial 6-month contract with view to full-time for the right person.
As the Weighbridge Operator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and accurate weighing, sampling and testing of incoming and outgoing trucks carting grains and meals. The job is fast paced so you need to be self-motivated and able to think on your feet.
Full training will be provided.
Responsibilities:
- Operate the weighbridge system efficiently and accurately, ensuring the correct weighing of incoming and outgoing trucks.
- Conduct thorough inspections of trucks, checking for cleanliness and compliance with safety regulations.
- Collect representative grain samples from each truck as per established procedures.
- Perform various tests on grain samples to determine moisture content, protein levels, and other specification, adhering to defined parameters and industry standards.
- Taking photos of grain and classifications.
- Visual and technical assessment of grain.
- Communicate effectively with truck drivers via UHF to provide necessary instructions.
- Communicate with internal teams to coordinate the smooth flow of trucks and grain throughout the facility to silo locations.
Requirements:

- Reliable with your work attendance.
- Physically fit to spear trucks on arrival to gather samples.
- Physically capable of lifting sample bags and standing for extended periods.
- Current drivers' licence and own transportation

No experience needed as full training will be given but knowledge of soybeans would be an advantage.
