About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Manager Community Wellbeing, you will play a crucial role in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the Wellbeing Hub initiative. This is aimed at enhancing the social, physical, and mental wellbeing of the Holdfast Bay community. You will be involved in strategic planning, community engagement, and project management to develop and implement initiatives under the Wellbeing Hub concept. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure these initiatives effectively meet community needs and align with the council's broader wellbeing objectives.
With your customer service focus, you will work towards continuous improvement and actively participate and maintain a customer focused culture, whilst actively seeking and suggesting ways to improve work practices and outcomes relating to Council’s community.
This role is available for a 1-year fixed term period with the opportunity to extend should further grant funding become available.
The right person will have skills and experience in the following:
- Tertiary qualification in Public Health, Community Development, Social Science or relevant discipline and/or extensive experience in a similar role
- Project management including planning, implementation and evaluation of community focused initiatives
- Community engagement and stakeholder management
- Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
- Knowledge and understanding of guidelines and standards relevant to the area of operation
- Unencumbered Australian driver’s licence
- Microsoft Office and using corporate digital applications
