As our Wholesale Manager, you will be at the forefront of this expansion, focusing on enhancing our wholesale operations across Australia and New Zealand. Your role is pivotal in cementing GODIVA's position as the unrivaled destination for premium Belgian chocolate, through strategic relationship building, innovative market strategies, and the nurturing of both new and established business partnerships.
About the Role:
This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional who is passionate about the FMCG and luxury food sectors. You will play a crucial role in driving our Wholesale businesses forward, focusing on both building new relationships and nurturing existing ones with key players like Woolworths, Costco, and David Jones.This role is an exciting opportunity for those who are hands-on and looking for the next step in their career.
The team embraces a hybrid working style involving 3 days of in-office work (Melb CBD) and 2 days of working from home.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage individual accounts, ensuring excellent sales service to both new and existing customers.
- Create and implement annual plans for products and promotions.
- Strengthen and grow relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
- Drive sales volume by maintaining existing customers and acquiring new strategic business.
- Collaborate in sourcing and creating new market-appropriate products, including seasonal offerings and promotional materials.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing, and manage sales forecasts and demand planning.
- Efficiently manage the sales budget, optimising resource allocation.
- Execute new product launches to meet sales targets.
- Conduct quarterly reviews with key retailers.
- Oversee the Wholesale P&L, including promotional and trade spend.
- Lead and manage the annual Wholesale marketing calendar in coordination with the Marketing support.
- Work cohesively with departments across the organisation, contributing to overall company objectives and financial performance.
Qualifications & Experience:
- At least 3 years of experience in sales or business development, ideally in the FMCG or luxury food sector.
- Proven experience in Wholesale Sales, including building new business and growing existing relationships.
- Proven experience working with Woolworths, Costco or David Jones will be highly regarded.
- Demonstrated strong analytical, interpersonal, negotiation, and organisational skills.
