FTA Food Solutions is a major supply-chain solutions-based importer and distributor of food products for the Australian, New Zealand and export markets.
The National Account Manager - Food Service and Wholesale will play critical role with the Wholesale Sales Team. Develop and deliver on annual account based sales budgets and 12 month operational plans (cascading/executing on National Accounts targets/commercial objectives as well as developing the targets and commercial objectives for national Wholesale accounts).
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute annual key National Accounts customer plans to deliver on growth strategies for HSK Ward and its customers along with ensuring mutual sustainable growth.
- Develop, implement and execute strategic business marketing and promotional plans for allocated National Accounts (or support key accounts with their development and execution of promotional activity)
- Preparation and presentation of joint business planning and performance reviews with National Accounts, along with category/range reviews etc.
- Utilise market insights to identify opportunities for new product development and growth
- Ranging of new products (NPD) along with induction/maintaining distribution plans in accordance with the HSK objectives
- Active participation and demonstration of leadership in S&OP forums (and/or other commercial forums) – ensuring that discussions on sales, forecasts, stock, commercially related priorities and other inventory requirements are useful and drive desired sales performance outcomes
- Preparation and input into tendering process to build, or continue to build, long term commercial relationships
- Continued negotiation on product, price and service (including implementation of price increases – in line with product availability, supply chain costs etc.)
- Develop close working relationships with key customer contacts to strengthen the partnership and drive long term innovation
- Develop, sustain and manage strong internal, highly collaborative relationships in order to best service our customers and deliver on our promises
- Source and secure new profitable and sustainable National Account business to support the ongoing growth of HSK Ward
- Preparation of regular sales forecasts and commercial reporting targets, displaying key insights, recommending strategies/actions to close gaps or to optimise sales and profitability with key accounts
- Actively participate in continued development of our commercial and people systems/processes
About you
- Demonstrated experience working with key customers (experience with PFD Food Services and Superior Food Services highly regarded)
- Passionate for growing a portfolio of customers, identifying new business opportunities and generating revenue.
- Experience negotiating and influencing senior business leaders and key stakeholders.
- Able to work well under pressure and demonstrate a proven track-record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Strong financial and commercial acumen, with the ability to effectively keep track of monthly sales progress and ability to forecast profit margins with strategies of achieving sales metrics
- Have a growth mindset and easily adapt to shifts in priorities and ongoing change
- Understand the real importance of internal stakeholders, and enjoy working collaboratively across internal divisions
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Business or Commerce desirable
