ABOUT THE ROLE
The Work, Health & Safety Advisor is accountable for providing high level support to the Work, Health & Safety Team and in delivering administrative and operational support to the Business Area.
The position will primarily focus on supporting the Associate Director through the coordination of events and the preparation of various documentation pertaining to the ongoing and changing requirements of the business area’s functions.
The incumbent is a key and active participant of the People, Culture & Safety business area and the administration coordinators group and provides administrative expertise to ensure business and organisational objectives are achieved in collaboration with the local and broader teams.
Key Accountabilities include:
  • Prepare agendas and minutes at meetings and committees to ensure follow up actions are recorded and completed in line with Chisholm Governance Frameworks.
  • Prepare a range of regular and ad hoc reports, documentation, papers and submissions
  • Prepare all correspondence accurately and consistently in accordance with Chisholm style guidelines
  • Coordinate approvals, papers, reports and requests for information and data, so that documentation and correspondence are delivered in a timely manner
  • Assist in maintaining a centralised electronic filing system for records in the area, and manual records, to ensure accessibility and reliability of business information
  • Support sustainable accuracy and quality of OH&S data and records in line with legislative, regulatory and governance requirements.
  • Work closely with the greater PCS team on staffing issues and assist with rectifying any issues or escalating where appropriate.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities that improve the efficiency and effectiveness of OHS practices and outcomes.
ABOUT YOU
You will have the following qualifications, skills & experience:
  • Relevant qualifications in Occupational Health & Safety (Certificate Iv or above) or equivalent experience in a similar role
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in providing a high level of OH&S administrative support in a complex working environment
  • Demonstrated experience and strong knowledge of Microsoft Office including MS Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint
  • Strong written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Demonstrated ability to build rapport and effectively engage with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders
  • A demonstrated high level of personal motivation and the ability to work well under pressure
  • A record of relevant professional development
