WHS Advisor (FTC) Salary $88,557.35 to $102,727.05 p/a + super Fixed Term Full time position – Up to 12 months Flexible Working Arrangements available Workplace location: Gordon About Ku-ring-gai Council Located 16 km’s north of the Sydney CBD, the Ku-ring-gai area covers 84km2, is home to 124,000 residents and set in one of New South Wales’ most attractive natural environments. About the role Reporting to the Team Leader Risk Advisory, you will be responsible for assisting in the implementation of Work Health and Safety strategies and initiatives across the organisation. This will involve providing expert advice and support to managers and employees, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations, and promoting a positive safety culture throughout Council. Duties will include, but are not limited to Work collaboratively with Council's managers and supervisors to continue the development of the safety culture within the organisation Undertake accident and near-miss investigations, WHS audits, and worksite assessments Assist managers and supervisors with the review and document control for risk assessments Assist in the implementation of risk identification and control strategies for specific activities Develop and implement the delivery of the WHS management system and the WHS Strategic plan Prepare WHS reports and statistics, and provide recommendations for improvement Qualifications, Skills & experience Cert IV Work Health and Safety or extensive work-related experience in the field of WHS or willing to undertake training Current Class C Driver's Licence Return to Work Coordination Certificate or willing to undertake training WHS general construction induction White Card or willing to undertake training Apply First Aid Certificate or willing to undertake training Ability to work in a diverse team environment Excellent communication, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills Benefits 35 hour working week Flexible Working Arrangements available Beautiful Ku-ring-gai Location Supportive team environment Health & Fitness $100 yearly reimbursement (conditional) This is a great opportunity where you will gain knowledge, training and development opportunities to further develop your career.
