Reporting to the HR Manager, this role focuses on eliminating and/or minimising WHS risks, developing the WHS strategy, creating a positive WHS culture and continuously improving WHS performance and compliance.

In executing this role, you will be responsible for:
- Planning, managing and undertaking all administrative tasks necessary to achieve smooth operation of the WHS function
- Advising and assisting in the development of WHS policies, updating forms and work instructions
- Assisting in improving hazard inspection and internal audit processes on WHS hazards and risks
- Scheduling WHS committee meetings and maintaining minutes
- Preparing WHS reports as required by management
- Preparing and completing Risk Assessments and Hazard Reviews as required
- Assisting with injury or accident investigations as required
- Completing Workplace Inspections as required
- Assisting with the commissioning of new plant/machinery/equipment
- Developing, facilitating, and delivering WHS training to build capability and knowledge
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Diploma (or CERT IV) in Work Health & Safety
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in WHS
- Sound knowledge of WHS Practices and legislation
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Highly competent with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & Powerpoint)
