Autonomy First Lawyers is a national boutique law firm founded in 2020 by Michael Perkins the Principal Lawyer and Mark Vigors as Chief Financial Officer. For 2022 and 2023 we are a Doyles Recommended Wills & Estates firm. In our short life we have grown in size and now boast 4 professional and 5 ancillary staff members.
We are now looking to expand our professional team and are actively looking for a lawyer or lawyers to continue the growth of our Wills and Estates team and at the same time build and maintain our existing client and collaborator relationships.

Who we are looking for?
A lawyer with 1 to 2 years post qualification experience in Wills and Estates is highly desirable.
If you are a Lawyer with an unrestricted practising certificate with 3 to 5 years post qualification experience in Estate Planning, Probate, Litigation, APPLY.

Skills and Experience
- Sound file management
- Excellent client management and client expectations
- Above average drafting of documents both simple and complex
- Above average written and verbal skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Willingness to assist and flexibility
- Ability to multitask
- Previous experience with electronic Court filing and PEXA
- Previous experience with Actionstep document and practice management applications (or similar platform)
Key Responsibilities of the position
- Advise in the preparation of Estate Planning documents, including both simple and testamentary trust Wills, Enduring Powers of Attorney, Appointments of Enduring Guardian in both New South Wales and Victorian jurisdictions
- Effectively and empathetically manage the matter from client initial interview through to matter wrap up
- Ensure quality of service in line with the client’s expectations and Autonomy First’s culture and code
- Supervise and where necessary prepare Supreme Court documents to obtain Grants of Probate and Letters of administration and perform administration of Estates, including asset realisation through to distribution
- Advise on estate Planning and Trust Structures
- Family Provisions Claims
- Supreme Court Lodgements
