Women's Health Physiotherapist (Pilates Trained), Pt/Ft

The Studio. Physio & Pilates in Rozelle is looking for an experienced, motivated Women's Health Physio and Pilates instructor to join its team!

The Studio is a unique health space made up of a dynamic and supportive team with patient centred focus it's number one mantra. The team includes 10 Physiotherapist's (all with Clinical Pilates teaching experience and 2 being Women's and Pelvic Health Physio's), massage therapists and various group fitness and Pilates instructors. The Studio is a fresh, modern space, which is a pleasure to work in with bright natural light, premium equipment, spacious treating rooms and balconies with a view providing the perfect lunch and coffee spot.

The Studio clients are a mixed caseload of the local community; mostly able bodied weekend warriors, retired locals and Pre and Post Natal women. Pregnancy and Women's Health is a huge focus area; all practitioners working towards a common goal - to empower women throughout all stages of their lives, especially throughout pregnancy.

The Studio is looking to fill a part time role (option for full time hours pending availability) as one of our Pelvic Health Physiotherapists has recently moved back to WA. Along with seeing private pelvic health patients, the role will ideally include teaching Clinical Pilates and group classes (including Mums n Bubs Post natal classes). 

Candidates should be motivated and responsible and if successful should expect to be valued and treated with respect in The Studio Team.  Staff welfare is of the utmost importance. CPD opportunities will be encouraged and financially supported and onsite learning will occur weekly (optional attendance depending on schedule/part time hours). Team culture is paramount with collaboration encouraged daily along with regular group workouts.

About the role

What will the job look like?

- Assess and treat Musculoskeletal and Pelvic Health Physiotherapy patients (60minute Initial appointments for pelvic health, 45min MSK initials, 45 and 30minute follow ups)

- Conduct Clinical Pilates Initial Assessments with the use of Real Time Ultrasound

- Teach Private and Semi-Private Pilates Classes (1:1, 2:1 or 4:1) using various Pilates apparatus (Reformer, Cadillac, Wunda Chair, Ladder Barrel, Spine Corrector & Balls/Bands etc) // will need to be a master multi-tasker

- Teach Group Reformer, Mat Pilates and Mums n Bubs Group Classes; must be comfortable interacting with babies and children and confident in group communication/instruction

- Lesson plan group classes for varying levels of abilities and create a fun, safe, inclusive environment in classes

- Participate in team continued education and regular case study conversations

- Use down time for continued self development and Studio community interaction (posts for socials, blogs, participate in Studio classes, take initiative and help out with general daily tasks)

What does The Studio want from you?

- Minimum 3 years Private Practice Experience required

- Confidence with Musculoskeletal Assessment, diagnosis and hands on therapy (dry needling experience preferred however not required)

- Clinical Pilates training & experience working with Pilates Equipment required

- Women's Health experience

- Good time management skills and able to multi-task

- Takes initiative, sees a task and gets it done

- Ideally available Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays (Saturday hours 7.30am - 1pm). Covers provided when time off is needed (and encouraged!)

- Confident, friendly, motivated and fun; must be able to have a laugh. Positive vibes only.
