We are currently seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic and experienced Work Placement & Traineeship Coordinator to oversee and coordinate our student work placement and Traineeship programs. Reporting to our Education Manager, this key role has been developed to provide a central point for liaison with employers placing students for mandatory work placement and employing trainees..
This role plays a crucial part in managing student work placements across all faculties and ensuring a continuous pool of suitable employers to support our students' and trainees practical learning experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Effectively manage student work placements across various faculties;
- Maintain and expand a pool of suitable employers to accommodate student work placement and trainees;
- Collaborate closely with faculty staff to align work placement opportunities with training package requirements;
- Develop and nurture relationships with industry partners to enhance work placement opportunities for students;
- Monitor and assess student and trainee progress during work placements and traineeships,providing necessary support and guidance; and
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and standards for work placements.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience in coordinating work placements or similar roles within an educational or training institution;
- Strong organisational and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with employers and stakeholders;Understanding of vocational education and training (VET) sector requirements related to work placements and traineeships:.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment;
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail and
- Proficiency in relevant software and systems for managing work placement and traineeship programs.
Additional Information:
This role is based in our North Sydney office on a full-time basis (Monday to Friday).The successful candidate will be required to travel to meet with employers and Apprenticeship Centres as required.
