Job Description
Reporting to the Manager of Organisational Development you will have primary responsibility for maintenance and implementation of the Shire's safety management system. This includes:
- providing advice, support and education on all aspects of WHS across the organisation
- facilitating the development and implementation of safety procedures and guides
- undertaking investigations,
- delivering safety induction training to new workers
- analysis and reporting of safety data
- coordination of wellbeing initiatives and
- providing leadership and guidance to Health & Safety Representatives.
You will use your initiative and excellent communication skills to build strong working relationships across the organisation and liaise professionally and effectively with workers at all levels, modelling commitment to a positive safety culture.

- Base annual salary $79,000 - $85,000 per annum dependent on skills, experience, and qualifications

To be considered for this role you will be able to demonstrate:

- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Work Health and Safety (minimum Cert IV)
- Working knowledge of Work Health and Safety Act 2020, Work Health and Safety (General) Regulations 2022 and associated codes of practice and guidelines
- Relevant work experience in a similar health and safety role
- Knowledge of best practice safety standards
- Sound investigative and analytical skills
- Demonstrated administrative skills
- Strong computer skills in MS Office
- Strong organisation and time management skills
- Ability to influence and consult with all levels
- Police Clearance
- C Class Licence
- First Aid qualifications
- Construction Safety Awareness Card
