The objective of the WHS Consultant is to contribute to and enable, a planned and coordinated approach to health and safety risks in the workplace.
Responsibilities
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in WHS and / or equivalent professional experience in WHS or risk management in the Healthcare sector.
- Demonstrated experience in contributing to the development, implementation and review of, WHS Management Systems (such WHS policies, procedures and programs) that leads to improved WHS performance of organisations.
- Demonstrated experience in responding effectively to WHS incidents and conducting formal investigations using a defined methodology.
- Demonstrated experience in contributing to the development, implementation and review of WHS training programs.
- Demonstrated experience in the use of incident and claims data systems to develop proposed WHS risk reduction strategies, initiatives and programs.
- Demonstrated experience in facilitating WHS change in a large and diverse work environment with multiple site locations.
- Demonstrated high level skills in active listening, negotiation, conflict resolution and other communication (oral and written).
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate programs and projects in a high volume work environment whilst managing competing priorities.
- Current unrestricted Australian drivers licence (P2 Licence Acceptable) subject to obtaining NSW drivers licence within 3 months of appointment.
