Workforce Planner

Are you ready to take on a pivotal role in workforce planning?  We're on the hunt for a Workforce Planner who thrives in a high-energy, ever-changing environment.
 
As a member of a highly functioning operations team, you will be responsible for critical functions that ascertain the company’s need for people. You will be working closely with management to model and forecast workforce requirements, distill those requirements, and then use your proven, tried-and-tested methods to manage issues and gaps in resourcing. This will also include supporting the delivery team to manage end-to-end reporting and supply for the company’s workforce planning.

You will be required to have 3–4 years of experience in workforce planning, preferably in the niche market of management and technical consulting services.  You will be required to be fluent with renowned external platforms such as Seek and LinkedIn, and internally, it is desirable if you are familiar with JobAdder and Employment Hero.  As part of this role, you must have impeccable communication skills (both written and verbal).

What to expect in this role 
Working as a core part of our People and Place team, you will oversee and manage the company's workforce requirements, ensuring that we have sufficient people at the right time and with the right skillsets to work on company projects. You will also be expected to support company recruitment activities. 
 
 
Here are some of the duties you will perform:

  • Model and forecast workforce requirement and proactively respond to staffing need
  • Identify and manage issues and gaps in resourcing, incorporating business as usual (BAU) and strategic initiatives in planning and resourcing and for supporting ongoing operational efficiencies and improvements.
  • Optimise and implement deployment of resources to optimise utilisation Monitor, review and report on resource allocation & deployment along with identification of risks
  • Manage bench time to ensure people not fully utilised on projects are supporting company internal projects
  • Provide a high level of advice and support on all workforce planning matters. 
  • Develop and implement innovative recruitment strategies to attract high-quality candidates and fill vacancies across the company.
  • Engage with hiring managers to distill resourcing requirements and run weekly workforce planning meetings
  • Create job postings that are creative and engaging to attract top talent.
  • Manage the recruitment process and activities such as resume screening, phone screening, interviews, reference checks, and developing job descriptions.
  • Maintain accurate records of candidates, talent pools, and the hiring process using Job Adder and Employment Hero.
  • Manage the data, workflow, and configuration of our ATS - Job Adder to suit resourcing requirements.
  • Manage the conversion of original CVs into the company format using Allsorter.
 
What makes you a great fit?
  • 4+ years of workforce planning, and in-house recruitment experience, preferably in technical or consulting roles 
  • Diploma qualification or above in Human Resource Management or related field 
  • Strong knowledge of recruitment best practices and sourcing strategies
  • Experience facilitating interviews. (Scheduling interviews and maintaining records)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities.
  • Competency in using ATS such as Job Adder and other HRIS (Employment Hero
  • Have a LinkedIn profile that you actively engage in
  • Demonstrate professionalism and courtesy in interactions with potential candidates and company employees.
  • Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment.
  • Enthusiastic and positive attitude with a willingness to adapt to change.
