The Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) is seeking to fill the role of Workforce/Project Support Officer to work in our IT Work Program Management Section.This is an ongoing, permanent position at the APS 4 classification level. The successful applicant will work full-time hours via a hybrid model of working at our office in Belconnen and working from home.About the role and business areaThe role of Workforce/Project Support Officer assists in the sourcing and administration of staff and contractors to meet the demands of the ABS’ ICT work program.The IT Work Program Management Section supports the ABS Technology and Security Division (TSD) to effectively and efficiently deliver ABS business objectives through proactive management of TSD costs, capability and capacity. The team works collaboratively across the division to develop and implement workforce strategies, build professional ICT capabilities and source ICT skills from the market that are required to deliver work programs. Responsibilities include:administration and management of documentation for onboarding contractors and non-ongoing personnel, including proactively managing contract extensionscoordination of recruitment in conjunction with ABS National Recruitment Unitcoordinate client information and requests to recruitment companiesprovide information and advice to recruiting panel membersprepare contracts and the associated spending proposalsseek approvals from Delegates as appropriate.What we are looking for (selection criteria) To be suitable you should have most or all of the following skills, qualities and experience: demonstrated experience with creating and maintaining accurate and concise documentationability to follow standard operating procedures whilst displaying strong lateral thinking and problem solving skillswell developed interpersonal skills, with a focus on collaboration within the teamstrong verbal and written communication skills with a focus on engagement with internal clients and external suppliersself-motivation and resilienceexperience in Microsoft applications (i.e. Excel, Word & PowerPoint)experience working in an ICT recruitment field would be an advantage.How to applyYou will need to upload your current resume, provide referee details and respond (in less than 500 words) to:Provide an example of how your administrative skills and experience have supported effective document management.
