The Outback Communities Authority (OCA) provides municipal services and community support to residents, associations, and townships across Outback SA, which is approximately 63% of the state. The OCA’s goals include improving liveability and sustaining our communities, growing the outback economy and advocating for the interests of outback people.
The Role
The Works and Assets Manager is responsible for day-to day management, operations and maintenance of the OCA’s assets. This role will assist in implementing best practice asset management to ensure all assets are well maintained to maximise benefits to OCA and Outback SA.
The Works and Assets Manager also ensures that planning approval is received for OCA and community infrastructure works as well as undertaking reporting and analysis to manage enhancements to the assets. The role ensures that assets are maintained, renewed, and where necessary approved for performance sustainability.
The Works and Assets Manager will provide project management oversight for complex agreements for the provision of goods and services, including adherence to the procurement process in accordance with State procurement Board Guidelines and the Department's procurement policy. The role contributes to a range of projects and objectives that will facilitate the provision of operational and strategic facility management services.
The Works and Assets Manager will be required to provide advice to the Director of the Office of the OCA on complex matters across Outback communities and may also be required to prepare high quality briefings and correspondence from time to time.

Special Conditions
Prior to employment with the Department the successful candidate will be required to provide:
- A National Police Check (NPC) which must be renewed every three years.
- A Department for Human Services (DHS) Working with Children Check (WWCC) which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry.
Remuneration
ASO6 - $97,022 to $102,626 per annum
