Role and Responsibilities 

Due to rapid growth and business diversification, RUS Mining would like to invest in highly motivated and experienced Workshop Fitters to work within our team on underground mining and other equipment projects in our Rathmines facility.

• Compliance to all safety policies and company procedures
• Repair and maintenance of diesel equipment for UG use
• Fault finding and diagnostics of drill rigs, hydraulics, pneumatics and diesel equipment.
• Inspections and reports on equipment
• Completion of job order forms and reports
• Completion of daily tasks as required

Skills and experience required for this role

• Certificate III Mechanical Fitter qualification or similar
• Code D inspections and installation (preferred)
• Sound knowledge and experience in the application of mining equipment
• Previous U/G diesel equipment experience
• Diesel plant equipment appointments
• Ability to read and understand schematics and drawings
• Ability to use measuring equipment
• Hydraulic and pneumatic experience
• A current driver licence and own vehicle
