Job Summary:
We are currently seeking an experienced Workshop Manager to join our team at Earthmoving Equipment Australia. As the Workshop manager, you will play a vital role in overseeing the efficient operation of our workshop, ensuring that all maintenance and repair activities are performed to the highest standards. You will be responsible for managing a team of skilled technicians and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead a team of workshop technicians, providing guidance and support as needed
- Coordinate and prioritize the daily workflow, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and adherence to deadlines
- Monitor and manage the repair and maintenance processes to ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards
- Conduct regular inspections and quality checks to ensure work is carried out to the required standards
- Liaise with customers, suppliers, and other internal departments to address technical queries and provide updates on repair progress
- Maintain accurate records of all workshop activities, including job cards, service reports, and inventory management
- Assist with recruitment, training, and performance management of workshop staff
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement strategies to enhance workshop efficiency and productivity
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven experience as a Workshop manager or similar role within the earthmoving equipment industry
- Strong technical knowledge of earthmoving machinery and equipment
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Solid understanding of workshop operations, including repair and maintenance processes
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient computer skills, including experience with workshop management software
