Workshop Manager/Mechanic Position
• Location: Springvale VIC
• Full time position
• 80k-120k salary depending on experience

Key Responsibilities:
• Analyse and improve workshop procedures to enhance efficiency.
• Facilitate training and development of workshop team members.
• Manage and motivate the workshop team to achieve high-quality service and timely delivery.
• Conduct performance reviews and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage equipment hire items and maintain mechanical records.
• Perform testing and tagging of electrical equipment.
• Ensure maintenance of tools, equipment, and materials.
• Provide technical assistance and advice to team members.
• Evaluate and address work delays or interruptions.
• Monitor workflow and plan workloads to match team skills and abilities.
• Prepare and manage the monthly budget for workshop consumables.
• Assemble, maintain, and repair machinery and vehicles, ensuring functionality and reliability at all times.
• Ensure all safety regulations and industry standards are met within the workshop environment.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of workshop activities with overall business operations.
• Manage inventory and order supplies, tools, and equipment as needed to maintain optimal workshop functionality.
Skills required:
• Build and assemble machinery and components.
• Inspect and run diagnostic tests on machines and engines.
• Conduct repairs and troubleshoot problems.
• Perform thorough maintenance and replenish fluids and components.\
• Maintain logs and records of work performed.
Requirements:
• Proven experience as a Workshop Manager/Mechanic.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to use hand tools.
• Ability to follow procedures and read blueprints.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage time efficiently and work proactively as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and professional manner.
• Conflict resolution skills and a focus on compliance.
Qualification:
• Current driving license.
• White Card.
• Testing and Tagging certification.
• Trade Certificate
