AddressOur client is one of the largest motor vehicle distributors in the South Pacific region, boasting a selection of world-recognised franchises, with their head office based in Port Moresby. Additional dealerships are spread throughout PNG. They are presently seeking Workshop Managers for 2 of their sites in Port Moresby and Lae. The computer system in use at this dealership is Reynolds & Reynolds.
In this role, you will supervise a team of national staff, which requires patience and the ability to be aware of all the activities presently underway. Prior experience as a Workshop Manager/Controller in a franchised dealership is essential for this role. You must be a hands-on manager to succeed in this role.
You must have patience, understanding, the ability to monitor multiple staff at once and a desire to teach and guide staff with your knowledge. Given the growth that PNG is experiencing, room for advancement within the group is available to staff who demonstrate the requisite skills and abilities.
This role requires you to hold your qualifications as either a light vehicle mechanic or heavy vehicle mechanic, or both. Exposure to both in your working career is highly desirable.
Port Moresby is the capital and largest city of Papua New Guinea. It is located on the shores of the Gulf of Papua, on the southeastern coast of the Papuan Peninsula of the island of New Guinea. Port Moresby has a population of over 400,000, giving it an annual growth rate of about 2.1%.
Lae is the capital of Morobe Province and is the second largest city of Papua New Guinea. It is located near the main land transport corridor between the Highlands region and the coast. Lae has a population of over 200,000.

A generous remuneration package based on a retainer of around $130,000 AUD + commissions which will be discussed during interviews.
