Our client is a National manufacturer and supplier working in the heavy manufacturing space for the mining, Oil & Gas, and Chemical industries. This role is based in Sydney's Western Suburbs.
Workshop Manager
We are looking for a Workshop Manager to manage the day-to-day operations of the end to end manufacturing facility. This can include machining, fitting, fabrication & stores.
Duties
- Create and maintain a cohesive team culture within the factory staff, motivating, supporting and managing Team Leaders and factory staff.
- Liase with purchasing and inventory to ensure material required for manufacturing are in stock
- Manage staff rostering and leave in conjunction with the Production and Logistics Manager
- Report and manage daily output numbers
- Ensure product quality processes are developed and followed
- Management of the supervision team that supervise the machine shop, fabrication, fitting and stores departments
- Support internal sales teams with regular updates
- Identify and support continuous improvement initiative
- Production & manufacturing background
- 3+ years of supervisory OR managerial experience within a manufacturing industry
- Trade Qualification OR high level of mechanical / engineering aptitude
- Strong production and planning skills with an ability to manage priorities in a structured manner.
- Knowledge of ERP systems and fully computer literate with Microsoft Applications
- Identify & implement changes/improvements to product design or production methods
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work under pressure.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Full-time permanent role

- Immediate start
- Salary - Negotiable - $100k - $120k + Super
