Due to our continued success and growth, we are currently seeking a Forklift Mechanic, Automotive Mechanic, Diesel Mechanic or Auto Electrician to join us at Waverley Forklifts Sydney.
The Role:
As part of our Service Team, the Workshop Mechanic role is responsible for carrying out a range of maintenance services. These tasks include pre-delivery, planned maintenance, repairs and service to both Waverley Forklifts fleet and customer owned equipment. This role involves the following core duties and functions:
- To carry out work allocated in accordance with quality standards
- Performing service and repairs on a variety of materials handling equipment
- Timely completion of required paperwork associated with each job
- Maintain the condition and security of WFL tools, plant and service manuals
- Work safely within company and statutory WH&S requirements
- Maintaining a good standard of personal presentation within company policy and guidelines
- Be a part of a team of employees committed to continual improvement in a supportive environment

The successful candidate does not require forklift experience, we are willing to train the right mechanically minded candidate.
Specifically you display the following:
- Mechanical trade qualification preferred
- The ability to show initiative and strong problem solving skills, providing excellent diagnostics
- Demonstrated ability to complete required paperwork with accuracy, and a basic understanding of Microsoft Office Suite
- Demonstrated ability to be reliable & punctual
- Willingness to be an integral part of the team and work autonomously showing initiative when required
- A willingness to learn new skills and attend further training if required
- Partial completion of a mechanical apprenticeship may also be considered, with opportunity to complete qualification with our company
