Job Title: Workshop/Field Services Leading HandJob Summary:We are seeking an experienced and skilled Workshop/Field Services Leading Hand to join our team in Mackay, Queensland. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing workshop operations, coordinating field services activities, and ensuring the efficient execution of projects. Previous experience in a similar role and a trade qualification are required. Responsibilities:

• Lead a small team of workshop technicians, providing guidance and support as needed
• Coordinate the scheduling of field service activities, including equipment installations, repairs, and maintenance
• Ensure all work is carried out safely, adhering to company policies and industry regulations
• Monitor project progress to ensure timelines are met and quality standards are maintained
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment to identify any issues or potential risks
• Troubleshoot technical problems as they arise during both workshop operations and field service assignments
• Collaborate with other departments such as engineering or procurement to ensure seamless project execution
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, including job sheets, timesheets, inventory usage logs, etc.
• Provide training to technicians on new equipment or procedures when necessarySkills:
• Strong leadership abilities with the capability to motivate a team towards achieving targets
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to make quick decisions under pressure
• Proficient in using various hand tools as well as diagnostic equipment for troubleshooting purposes (e.g., multimeters)
• Good understanding of manufacturing processes within the industry (Pump knowledge, Irrigation experience)Qualifications:
• Previous experience in a similar role within manufacturing or production environment is essential.
