The role:

Partnering closely with the operations arm of the oOh! Business, the WSE Operations Specialist role is a trusted advisor who purposefully works to design, develop, implement WSE tools and monitors their effectiveness. They are central in working with the Head of WSE to develop and implement all elements of the WSE systems, plans and programs.

  • Update, implement and safety procedures, policies, systems, and processes.
  • Participate and run safety and incident investigations.
  • Reporting WHS incidents and injures in accordance with legislative requirements
  • Stay up to date with legislative changes and ensure the company remains compliant.
  • Conduct audits, site inspections and walkthroughs.
  • Run and give updates at pre-starts and toolbox talks.
  • Liaise with stakeholders, clients, and contractors.

The Experience:

This role would be highly suited to motivated, team players who are excited to join in and continue our build phase with the challenge of developing and shaping our practices for future growth!

  • Minimum of 5 years professional experience in Wellbeing Safety and Environment role in a diverse operational business.
  • Minimum qualification of Advanced Diploma of Work Health and Safety
  • Previous experience in the application of risk management methodology to identify hazards and control risks
  • Experience in reporting WHS AND interpret incidents and injures in accordance with legislative requirements
  • Demonstrated ability in developing WHS plans, systems, policies, and procedures
  • Highly goal oriented with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional communication, presentation and influencing skills both written and verbal
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of WHS legislation, codes of practice and other requirements
