Communications and Engagement Officer

Band 5 - $76,910- $89,109 + super + RDO
The Strategic Communications and Engagement Branch is seeking an experienced Communications and Engagement professional to join our team as a Communications and Engagement Officer until 20 December 2024.
We’re a collaborative and creative team. We are looking for someone who is passionate about Communications and Engagement and has experience engaging with hard to reach audiences. Your creative flair and excellent writing skills will help drive content creation across our digital and non-digital channels. You will be a team player who builds strong working relationships, has impeccable attention to detail, excellent time management, and an ability to work flexibly in a fast-paced environment. In return you will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of interesting projects from across our vibrant, innovative and progressive organisation.
POSITION OBJECTIVES:
- Help drive content creation for Council’s channels including website, social media, print publications, EDMs and video content
- Plan and implement communications campaigns and community engagement activities.
- Develop and Strengthen capacity and knowledge across the organisation to ensure all our Communications and Engagement activities are accessible and inclusive
