We are currently seeking a values-driven and proactive Youth & Young Adult Ministry Worker, reporting to the Corps Officer at Burwood Corps. This position is instrumental in coordinating the Youth and Young Adult ministry activities of the Burwood Corps including leadership and managing and developing the youth team with the oversight of the Corps Officers to see

The Salvation Army's vision and mission come to fruition. This is a max term (12 months from start date) part time (8 hours per week) position based in Burwood, NSW. Salary and conditions are in accordance with Hay level 12.

You will successfully Lead and Mange Youth Ministry Team (3-6 Volunteers). Develop and co-ordinate the Youth and Young Adult Ministries of Burwood Corps actively promoting the Corps Mission.

Plan and co-ordinate the activities of the youth and Young Adult group, ensuring safe, age-appropriate activities are planned which reflect the values of The Salvation Army. Identify, develop and mentor Youth Leaders and provide discipleship, support and encouragement to all.

Identify and address pastoral and spiritual needs of the youth in a consistent and sensitive manner. Contribute to healthy and growing numbers and participation levels of youth ministry. Develop meaningful worship experience for youth.

Ensure competency of the Youth Ministry Team (Safe salvos, Working With Children Checks, Volunteer requirements) Work with the Mission Leaders to create and implement discipleship pathways for youth and Young Adult. Establish and maintain existing groups and groups for new Christians or those exploring faith.

Attend all local leadership meetings. You will have A commitment to the Christian faith and mission of The Salvation Army.

The ability to offer pastoral assistance, to offer prayer and to explain the Christian Gospel. The commitment to gaining qualifications in Ministry, Theology or a related discipline. Experience working with Youth and

Young Adults. Experience leading teams and managing people. NSW

Working with Children Check. Current NSW Driver Licence. Senior
