A bit about the role
Wyndham City is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced administration and communications specialist to provide creative, youth-friendly communications and administration support to our dedicated Youth Services team across the City of Wyndham.
The Youth Digital Communications and Administration Officer is responsible for providing high quality internal and external communications and marketing that directly increases awareness, engagement and participation of the programs and services provided by the Youth Services team. Your prior experience and skills in communications and marketing will develop and enhance Wyndham City’s Youth Services online presence and digital strategy.
Your excellent time management skills and task prioritisation will see you excel in providing in high-quality and efficient general administration support to the Youth Services Administration and Facilities Team.
In this role you will need to have great organisational skills, highly developed attention to detail and excellent communication skills to build strong relationships with a range of stakeholders and provide timely and accurate administrative support to a range of internal customers.
What you will deliver
- Contribute to the development and execution of innovative and effective communication strategies for promoting Youth Services projects, programs, events and activities through Digital Communications
- Effective communications planning, delivery and evaluation, working alongside our multidisciplinary team
- Contribute to the enhancement of the Youth Services website and Wyndham City Council Youth Services online presence
- Update, review and develop Youth Services social media accounts ensuring all postings are politically sensitive and align with our Social Media Strategy
- Provide administrative support and assist in the creation and maintenance of distribution lists, spreadsheets and databases.
What you will bring
- Diploma in an administrative related discipline or lesser formal qualification with several years relevant experience in multimedia development
- Proven skills and experience in providing administration and communications support
- Demonstrated experience in managing and developing online content and databases, including awareness in developments of online technology and online service delivery
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft applications and relevant social media channels
- A current Employee Working with Children Check.
